The substantial glass shades combine rich emerald green with clear glass, but in opposing compositions: one has green concentrated towards the lower half, while the other carries the green around the upper section before flowing into clear glass below. Displayed together, this subtle reversal gives the pair a particularly playful and sculptural quality.
The glass has a distinctly hand-worked appearance, with flowing surfaces, variations in thickness and an undulating rim that catches and refracts the light beautifully. When illuminated, the deep green becomes wonderfully luminous, while the clear sections allow plenty of light through and emphasize the texture and movement within the glass.
The glass shades are vintage, while the hanging systems and fittings are new, making them especially attractive for contemporary interiors where the character of original vintage glass is desired without retaining older suspension hardware.
